Goose! FOSTER NEEDED starting Wednesday, March 22!
This cutie was dumped at a thrift store, adopted to a lovely family in AR but once they got his DNA results back (65% Bouvier Des Flandres & 21% Labrador Retriever) they realized he was going to be too big for them. He is only 15 pounds now and about 2 months old according to his current adopter. They are a retired couple and feel like it would be a disservice to such a playful fun dog to not have an active family or person or other dogs to play with. Goose will be coming to Colorado on Wednesday, March 22 and needs a safe place to land. Looking for a foster and also accepting Adoption Applications at LuckyDayRescue.org

Bear, our darling cuddly Teddy Bear is ready for his forever home! He is about 1 year old and 32 pounds, the perfect age and size. We think he is a Chow mix, but not really a Chow personality. His foster mom says 'Bear has great recall, he loves his pack and recently had a new friend Skye come to visit and stay for a few days.. He loved playing and hiking with his new gal pal..He is super smart and picks up on all his foster sisters do..Bear is a great cuddler and adores being petted and doted over..He is the perfect furry bear.. He also has an independent side.
Sometimes he goes out side and stares towards the mts. Like he is contemplating life.’
Bear loves his snow hikes and is good on the leash. He loves other dogs, hasn’t met one he doesn’t like, just wants to play, play, play! He would love a home with another dog but would be ok as an only dog too. He definitely needs human interaction and loves attention. This guy loves to snuggle! This cutie sleeps through the night, is crate trained and potty trained. He can be mouthy but it is gentle. He now knows when the harness comes out it’s time for a walk or hike, loves it! FOSTER FOUND! Thanks Cindi! NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR NATHAN & SARAH!
These 2 darling babies were left in a house when the owners moved away. Luckily our rescue partners found them and they are now in a foster home in Kansas. They are coming to CO on Wednesday, March 22. We are now accepting applications for adoption (separately). These cuties are about 4 months old, current on vaccinations and spay/neutered. Both friendly and great with other dogs.
These 2 are both adorable and doing so well! Nathan (20 pounds) is especially concerned when the baby in the house cries and will go to her to try to comfort. He is such a sweet, calm boy. Sarah (18 pounds) is darling with her extra soft coat and soulful eyes just looking for love. Both exceptional pups! Pictures don’t do them justice.

Layla is a 3 year old mix, 42 pounds, 20 inches at the shoulder, awesome dog.
Layla is a sweetheart who loves nothing more than going for a walk. If you even think about going for a walk, she’ll be there to help you put your shoes on! She’s great on a leash, and when meeting other dogs on the trail, she seems to know right away if she wants to be friends with them. If not, she ignores them and continues on her way.
She’s been living in a big yard which she loves to explore and run around in. She’ll run for exercise, or just for the fun of it. She has never run away, and does not leave our unfenced yard without us.
She doesn’t think much of the FedEx & UPS drivers.
Layla is a hugger. She’ll lean into you for love, and likes to put her head on your lap while you’re reading or watching TV.
Layla is an amazing car dog. She’s never put her head out the window, or left nose tracks on the window. She lies down and rests, and you may forget she’s back there because she’s so quiet.
Unfortunately Layla had a bad start in life. She and her siblings were dropped into a dumpster in Texas. Fortunately a good Samaritan heard them and pulled them out and took them to a shelter. She was sent to Colorado and put in foster care until she was 4-months old.
She still has some fear issues. Even though we’ve given her lots of love she’s still nervous around brooms, garden hoses, and things she thinks might hurt her. We sure wish we could erase those first four months. But when she loves you….she REALLY loves you. It will take her a while to settle in with a new family, but when she does she’ll be very loyal and protective of you and your home.
Layla would be great in a family with elementary to high school age kids and is sure to fill you with joy. When Layla joins your family she will bring her own bed, collars, leashes, blankets, and food.
So why are we looking for a new home for Layla? We’re senior citizens who have had some major health issues in the past year, and we feel she needs a home where her family can give her more attention and activity. She deserves more than we can give.
Layla is in excellent health and is current on all her shots. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply! Currently in Evergreen, CO

Look at those ears! Shera is looking for a Roaring Fork valley foster!
Shera is a gorgeous, 49 lb Catahoula mix (and maybe Shepherd?) who will soon be looking for her forever home! This very active 3 year old is currently being evaluated for what appears to be food and/or environmental skin allergies.
While we help her to get comfy and back on track with a plan to keep her itchy-scratchies calmed, we are hoping she can settle for a little while with a Roaring Fork valley area, Colorado foster so she can continue to work with her current vet through the end of March.
Shera is vaccinated, spayed, crate trained, potty trained, is great in the car, loves cats, and is energetic and playful with dogs she meets. She has been a dream to work with at the vet and knows lots of fun commands!
Shera would do best in an active home because she is so spunky and loves to bounce around and run. While she is not focused on running away, she is quick to notice critters like squirrels and can easily jump shorter fences- so she must be leashed walked or in a yard with a 6 ft fence initially. Older children may be best for her due to her energy level.
She will be on a strict diet until we can help identify what is giving her the itchies so structure and consistency would be best for her. This is likely a life-long condition that will require dedication to keeping her feeling great!
We will do our best to answer some questions here but please keep in mind that we are volunteers monitoring these posts and we will get back to you just as quickly as we can!
Feel like you might be a fit to foster Shera? Please submit an application at LuckyDayRescue.org!
We are also happy to accept adoption applications but we do want to get a good grasp on what her medical needs will be and appreciate your patience while we get some answers.
